Lana's new game is "Ou est le nez?". Mommy asks her "ou est le nez", and Lana points to mommy's nose, and then claps her hands all happy.

Lana's artifacts
These work of arts were made by Lana many months ago. But it took mommy a lont time to take a picture of them
Lana and the dog
Few days ago, Lana was driving her car, minding her own business. Suddenly, a dog passed by. Intrigued, she parked her car, stepped out of it, and went to check the dog. Mommy helped her caress the dog. Grateful, the dog turned his face towards Lana, giving her a big smile. Mommy thinks that Lanoussi's scream that day probably reached Kfarabida :)

Month 16: August 18
Lana started a new class in daycare on Monday. She did not cry, or show any resistance to the change. But she seemed a little bit lost the first day, looking around and wondering what is going on.
She learned to walk with the rope and followed the instructions very good.
The new class has a sink in it. Whenever the teacher tells her "let's wash our hands", Lana runs to the sink. She still loves to play with the water. And when the teacher tells her "We are going outside", she runs to the door. Water and outdoor activites are her preferred, in addition to playing with dirt and sand.
Her "bye" has evolved into a more cool "pa pye".
It has been few days that Lana is doing la greve de la faim. She refuses milk. Daddy called her "Food Efficient", same as new car models are "Fuel Efficient". She is a 2009 model, so she doesn't consume lots of energy.

Month 16: August 12
Mommy and daddy bought a big car for Lana. Daddy assembled it yesterday. As soon as it was finished, Lana jumped into it, and started manipulating the wheel :)
She took a ride in it outside, and she enjoyed it so much that she categorically refused to go back home. Daddy had to extend the outside trip for another 30 mins, until Lana got very tired and sleepy.
Everyday, when mommy picks up Lana from daycare, they spend some time outside in the church's park. And around the fish pool. Lana jumps on the pool edges, and with a stick, plays in the water, making sure to disrupt the fish :)
Lana's new hobby is writting on paper with a pen. And she finds it even more interesting to write on mommy's legs, instead of the paper.

Month 16: August 10
Lana is definitely not an indoor person. As soon as she wakes up, she brings her shoes to mommy or daddy to help her put them on. That's her way for transmitting the message "I want to go out".
And if it is the middle of the day, and she still did not go out, she just goes to the garage door, and starts manipulating the handle, looking at mommy or daddy in despair.

Month 16: August 03
Daddy was getting ready to go to work. Lana took a pen and played with it. Once she was done, she climbed on daddy, and put the pen in his shirt pocket. This is where he usually puts his pen when he goes to work.
Yes, little Lanoussi is helping daddy getting ready to work!
The pediatrician told mommy that Lana should understand and follow orders like "give this to mommy, bring your shoes". Mommy had not tried this before. So mommy went home, and put the shoes in front of Lana, and asked her to bring them to her. It took multiple trials, but Lana got it at the end, picked the shoes and brought them to mommy. And now when mommy holds Lana's pants, and she asks her to come, Lana understands, she comes and puts her legs in the pants.
Her daycare teacher was very proud of her, because at the end of the day, she asked her to help her clean up. And Lana put every toy back in its right place: the lego in their boxes, the shelf toys on their shelf, ...
She is even helping mommy at home.
