Lana is standing up more frequently on her tip toes. Daddy helps her to stand up, and he teaches her to hold with her hands , and she can stay up alone for almost a minute while holding on to something. Then she starts complaining because she is afraid to fall. She likes so much to be in the standing position that whenever we try to put her in a sitting position, she stretches her leg to stay up, and she is all proud that she can do it.
If she holds on to something, she can stand without human help on her knees.

Month 8: December 26 2009
Daddy taught Lana how to stand up and grab with her hands in order not to fall. Lana, being such a good student, decided to follow the instructions and to apply them on her bed. Mommy found her standing on her knees and grabbing the bed's borders.
Result: we need to lower the level of the bed again!
It has been a week that Lana's cheeks have turned red. Daddy says it is because of the high temperature that mommy sets in the house. Mommy thinks it is because Lana is getting fat and cuter every day.

After doing a mixture of crawling and creeping with some stretching, Lana finally mastered crawling like a pro. Today she did around 10-15 feet purely crawling. What motivated her? Reaching daddys' medical journals to eat them. Bet7eb bale3 el ketob min zighara

Lana started somehow to turn when she hears her name.
She also looks at the direction of the finger, when we are pointing something to her.
What she loves most about the shower is to step out of the tub to play with the shampoo bottle or even more, to put her hand in the small amount of water that dripped out of the tub.

Month 8: December 07 2009
Lana started the crawling steps. She moves both knees together ahead, and then she tries to move her hands, but she soon loses her equilibrium and she falls. Nevertheless, she is succeeding in moving few inches while crawling, and she does the rest of the distance by rolling over.
Mommy got her a rattle toy that attaches to the hand. Lana did not like the idea to have it attached first. She removed it and put it in her mouth. But then she realized that the rattle toy shakes when she moves her hands, so she started shaking her hand and laughing.

Month 8: December 06 2009
Lana is sleeping better through the night. Few days ago, she slept 8 hours straight without waking mommy up. And last night, she slept from 09:00PM till 08:00AM, with few night awakening.
Mommy is thinking about calling Tom Cruise. Changing Lana’s diapers has become Mission Impossible! She is somehow managing to jump out of the changing table, getting out of the straps and over the high borders.

Lana stands "a quatre pattes" and she balances her body forward and backward trying to move. She likes doing this frequently, as if she is exercising her motor skills.
She enjoys it very much when, with the help of mommy, she moves her knees and hands crawling to reach a target.

Month 7: November 30 2009
Milestones this month:
- Lana can stay in a sitting position for a long time
- She can play by herself also for a long period of time. And she can stay alone in the room for about 15 mins without complaining.
- When lying on her back, she grabs and holds her foot to play.
- She holds the sipping cup handles.
- She always tries to feed herself, and put her fingers in the food jar. And she holds and eats the biscuit by herself.
- She wants to grab everything that she sees, and objects when daddy refuses to give her what she wants.
- She moves on the floor around the room by rolling over and pushing herself backward on her tummy. When she identifies a target, she tries to reach it by propelling herself on stomach with legs and steering with arms.
- She raises and lowers her buttocks a little to move around.
- She pats and smiles to her picture in the mirror.
- She loves musical toys and is starting to learn to press on them to hear the music.
- She first rejected the jumperoo, now she is starting to like it and spend some enjoyable time in it.
- She loves to be tickled.

Lana spent the whole week end with daddy. He took full care of her. She was first surprised why daddy is bathing and feeding her, but then she started enjoying it.
She can now put the pacifier straight in her mouth. When awake, she is requiring the pacifier much less than before. Instead, she has replaced it with any object that is within her reach. She wants to put everything she sees in her mouth.
At night, the pacifier is still mandatory to sleep.
She is producing sounds like "ppppp", "sssssssssss", "khkhkhkhkhkh" and "777777777".
She likes the ba2oussi game (peek a boo) a lot.

Lana ate beef and gravy today. She liked them. She will start getting one full meal per day (ham, chicken , turkey or beef).
Mommy was holding Lana padding on her back to burp her. Suddenly Lana started padding on mommy’s back too! 3am betdacheh el mami!
Today Lana was sitting on mommy’s tummy, and she was able to hold her back straight up for few seconds, without any support.
When she sees mommy heading for the food table, she starts complaining because she knows that mommy is going to prepare food for her !

Daddy gave Lana a cookie to see if she is going to put it in her mouth. What was his surprise when he realized that not only she has put it in her mouth, she also took a bite and ate it! She is surely taking advantage of those teeth!
