Month 3: July 24 2009
When Lana used to wake up and not find anybody next to her, she used to stay silent for a while, and then if nobody comes to pick her up, she starts complaining with long but low "Aaaaaaaaa". Now she has a new way to call us: she does a short and loud "Ah!". Something like a "Hey!".
It has been almost a month that the "going to bed" ritual is on. And it is working perfectly fine. Between 08PM and 09PM, Lana takes her bath, and then she eats and goes to sleep. She wakes up between 03PM and 5PM, depending on how much she ate before going to bed. She got used so much to this ritual that she starts claiming her "shower" when it is time for it, and she gets all cranky if we are late giving it to her.
Her muscles are building up very well. She can hold her head up really straight for a long time. And she pushes with her legs to stand up. She started climbing on mommy's tummy when she is burping her.

Month 3: July 20 2009
Lana outgrew the swaddler. She doesn't need it much for sleep anymore. She prefers to keep her legs free.
She is still fisting, especially when eating. But she is more relaxed with her fingers than before. She sucks her hand actively when there is no pacifier.
She started recognizing the bottle (biberon) before it is in her mouth. She stretches and moves her head back to refuse it before we put it in her mouth.
She developed a new hobby: watching TV! She focuses on it and objects if we distract her from it.
She doesn't cry in the shower anymore. Radakhet la lamer el we2e3.
When in her bed, she still sleeps with her hands up (mestaslmeh). When in somebody's hand, she likes to squeeze her head under the person's arm. This is maybe to guarantee that no biberon will come in J

Month 3: July 13 2009
After multiple rejections from Lana, the Lebanese Food restaurant went officially out of business.
Lana's awareness of the environment around her has increased suddenly this period. She distributes lots of smiles for the familiar faces around her, and gets all exited when she wakes up and finds mommy next to her. She enjoys all hanging toys. Eating is not her favorite activity.

Month 3: July 12 2009
Finally Lana recovered from the vaccine, and she is back to eating normally.
She started opening her hands during her sleep. When awake, she still keeps them closed, as if she was boxing (poing ferme). Today she released two fingers while eating.
She seems very alert these days. She is focusing on many things now, besides the fan and the green frog. But the fan is still her favorite.
Month 3: July 04 2009
A new competition to the fan is the green frog pending from the bouncer. Lana gets all exited when she is put in the bouncer, and she stares at the green frog and enjoys his music. But she gets bored after 10 to 15 mins.

Month 3: July 09 2009, Lana’s 2 month visit to the doctor
Lana cried for half an hour in the afternoon because of the vaccine. A small dose of Tylenol solved the problem. No fever.Dr Masharani was very happy with her development. She fixed mommy well in the clinic, and she followed the stethoscope with her eyes.
Weight: 10 pounds, 2 ounces (=4.59 kilos)
Height: 23 inches + ¼ (=59 centimeters)
FOC: 14 inches
Dr Masharani suspected a torticollis. Lana might need some physical therapy

Month 3: July 01 2009
Mommy and teta are concerned about Lana's eating habits. One day she eats well, and the second she decides to go on diet all day. Il parait qu'elle s'inquiete pour sa ligne. She is preparing for a top model career and she has to be careful about cellulites.

Month 2: June 30 2009
Lana got dressed up for the passport picture. A new white dress with a pink shirt. She was all meste7iyeh because her diapers were showing under the dress :)
Milestones this month:
- Lana tests everything with her tongue before allowing it to come in. She likes to check the menu before placing an order. Especially if she is not hungry and all she wants is the pacifier.
- There is a love story between her and the ceiling fan. She stares at it for a long time, and smiles to it with excitement. Mom is jealous!
